Fripp Island, South Carolina

Fripp Island is located just off the coast of South Carolina and along the Atlantic Ocean. Located in between Charleston and Savannah, Fripp Island boasts over 3 miles of unspoiled and uncrowded beaches. This popular gated resort community, where you are more likely to see golf carts than cars, is abundant in natural beauty with roaming deer and more than 175 different species of bird. It also is home to many loggerhead turtles who choose to lay their eggs on its quiet and relatively undisturbed beach. Fripp Island is the perfect location for weddings, family reunions, or golf outings. With lush semi-tropical maritime forests, lagoons, lakes, and a beach with a private feel, its no wonder Fripp Island is widely considered South Carolina's mot beautiful barrier reef island.

Because I was constantly encountering new people, I was able to develop social skills I might not otherwise have found as an island dweller.
